Rounds garden

After a few months spent in their new second home, our clients wanted to think about designing the garden to make it a space more in their image.

The challenges for this project were very broad:

  • Create a garden that is welcoming to its environment and its history. The garden is an extension of the ambiances of the large landscape and in particular of the arboretum.
  • Mix intimacy and conviviality. Imagine intimate places to spend time with family, while providing openings to maintain links with the neighborhood. The garden filters the views by playing with the depths linked to the successive planes to hide or show.
  • Create a walk that is both contemplative and playful, passing through the different scenes of the garden.
  • Imagine a garden that is a refuge for biodiversity while chasing away undesirables thanks to plants that nourish humans, pollinating insects and small animals while repelling unwanted insects.
  • Install a range of plants for a country atmosphere thanks to romantic-style plants, playing on the colors of flowers, foliage and branches.
