Our view
The constraints of a Parisian outdoor space
Weight
Containers, wet soil and furniture weigh a lot: we check the permitted load and choose lightweight growing media.
Access
Stairs, lift, goods lift: the works are organised to protect the common parts.
Wind and shade
Up high, the wind dries things out. At the bottom of a courtyard, shade dominates. The plant palette adapts to each aspect.
Co-ownership
Rules, the managing agent’s agreement, permits: we build these steps into the project.

The CoprOasis grantsFrequently asked questions
Do you work in every arrondissement of Paris?
Yes, in every arrondissement and in the inner suburbs. We also work in the Yvelines, the Hauts-de-Seine and, on request, anywhere in France and in neighbouring countries.
Can you create a real garden on a small Parisian terrace?
Yes. On a few square metres, design makes all the difference: well-sized containers, plants chosen for the aspect, layers that give depth and suitable watering. The result is a small living garden, sparkling in every season.
How are works on an upper floor in Paris organised?
They are prepared beforehand with the managing agent: access, hours, protection of the common parts, a goods lift if needed. Our partner companies work with suitable equipment, and we supervise the works until handover.
How do you green a balcony in Paris?
Start from the aspect and the permitted load, then choose suitable containers and a palette that flowers from spring to autumn. Herbs, perennials for pollinators and small climbers turn a balcony into a small, living garden.
Do you need permission to redesign a terrace in Paris?
It depends on the works. In a co-owned building, its rules apply, and the general meeting’s agreement may be needed if the building’s appearance changes. A pergola, a fixed screen or a change to the façade may also require a prior declaration at the town hall, depending on the local planning rules. We check these points from the sketch stage.
