THE MARCH OF THE WORLDS
The “March of the Worlds” garden is a project designed for the Duhamel Dumonceau square, located within the king’s vegetable garden in Versailles.
The plot on which the “march of the worlds” garden project is taking root is located at the crossroads of the city of Versailles to the northeast, the Satory hillside and the Balbi park to the southwest and the Swiss basin attached to the domain of Château de Versailles to the west.
Thus, the garden is subject to very distinct influences, urban with the city of Versailles, aquatic with the Suisses basin, landscape with the Balbi park and the king’s vegetable garden and wooded with the Satory hillside.
The “March of the Worlds” project aims to initiate a walk from each of these universes to bring them together in the center of the garden. The heart of the garden offers an atmosphere that draws inspiration from each of the surrounding worlds.
