An island of light and shadow

The Parc de Saint-Cloud residence was built in 1963 on a hillside on the Marivel plateau, in place of a villa designed by the architect Le Corbusier. The residence has a panoramic view of the forest of Saint-Cloud park and a beautiful wooded heritage including many centuries-old trees. However, this park needed to be reworked in order to respond to various problems, in particular the degeneration of certain trees.

The “An island of light and shadow” project helps the residence evolve into a place more in tune with its time and its residents. This means its look, but also the way it is maintained: semi-intensive, and even extensive in places.

It also means offering new uses, so that residents make the place their own more than they do today. The camellia garden, the children’s play area, the waves of the central meadow: all of this makes it not only a park to look at but also, and above all, a park its residents live in.
